Children may ask why trees are small
At distances beyond them all?
And skip about in spellbound cheer
To clamber on same branches near
Are we not too mere simple youths?
Who cannot see the things we choose?
In journeys shown by lines of trees
Our vision shifts to things that please
When mystic path becomes our way
To search out for safe place to stay
With each step inner thrills revealed
And precious Self no more concealed
Lord, ever hold my hand as we delightfully explore the inner and outer worlds together; grant that I may, with wonder, behold Thee as my discovered inner treasure.
