REGULAR ACTIVITIES

The Ramakrishna Vedanta Centre of Dublin was officially affiliated to the Ramakrishna Order headquarters in June 2018. The centre promotes the Vedanta philosophy through lectures, weekly classes, publications, devotional chants, periodic spiritual retreats, philanthropic service and the celebration of religious festivals.

​Arati

When the sunsets, the Swamis and devotees gather together in temple to perform Aarati (evening vesper service) singing hymns and devotional songs lasting for 45 minutes followed by meditation and reading of sacred texts. 

This prayer ceremony is an expression of divine love towards the Supreme.

Evening Vesper service  - 6.45 pm to 7.30pm (Sundays only)

Weekly Lectures

The spiritual talks on various aspects of Vedanta philosophy, Yoga, Religion, Life and teachings of saints, Psychology, Human excellence and other related topics are given by the Resident Swamis.

Wednesday     - 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm

Thursday          - 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm

Saturday           - 10:00 am to 11:00 am

     5:30 pm to 6:30 pm

Appointment with Swami

We welcome all sincere aspirants who seek guidance in Vedanta and spiritual matters. Resident Swamis gives spiritual guidance in matters of prayers, meditation instructions to deepen their spiritual life. 

Sincere aspirant can make appointment either by writing an e-mail.

Puja & Celebrations

The Vedanta Centre observes few important celebrations annually. The celebrations include the ritualistic worship, discourses, prayer, sacred reading, devotional music, floral offerings and partaking of offered prasad.

Six Celebration events - Birth anniversary of Ramakrishna, Sri Maa Sarada Devi ,    Swami Vivekananda, Guru Poornima, Sri Sri Durga puja, Sri Sri Kali Puja, Maha Shivaratri and Christmas Eve.

Workshops

Periodic workshops are conducted at the Vedanta centre. These workshops are guided by the resident monks. The practical workshop courses offered  are designed in a sequence to integrate the personality, increase vitality, develop self awareness and keep you in meditative and balanced.

    • Enneagram and the Essence of Truth workshop
    • Art of Meditation workshop
    • Mental well being workshop

Workshop dates and schedules are announced in advance.

Spiritual retreats

Periodic spiritual retreats are held at Vedanta centre or in the midst of silent nature .

Retreats are held with Swami's in which guided meditation, out-door yoga, pranayama, spiritual talks, philosophical discussions, question and answer sessions, practice of silence are practiced.

Retreat dates and schedules are announced in advance.

Inter-faith meets

Periodic Seminars & Inter-religious dialogues are conducted at the Vedanta centre to enhance inter-religious understanding to promote Religious Harmony & work towards common goals . 


The Minister In-charge & Swami Purnananda particpate in various inter-faith meets held by others religious groups on invitation. 

Éire Vedanta Society is an active member of the Dublin City Interfaith Forum (DCIF). We actively contribute to the visions and values of the DCIF by promoting interfaith activities. We work with members of DCIF and members of all faiths to build community harmony and strong interfaith relationship. 

Social Service

The Vedanta Centre offers assistance to the most affected poor families by distributing food hampers to the needy. Started few years ago, Ashrama devotees and volunteers are carrying this project ahead by serving devotedly, selflessly and with dedication.

Vivekananda Vedanta Centre, Belfast

Swami Vivekananda Vedanta Centre at Belfast is dedicated to learning, understanding, and practicing Vedanta as taught by Swami Vivekananda, one of the foremost Vedantins of modern times. 

This Vedanta centre functions under the guidance of the Swami Shantivratananda. It offers a variety of programs and events that promote the study of Vedanta, including lectures and workshops on Yoga, Meditation, Ayurveda, spirituality, culture etc.

This study circle is open to all. All are welcome to participate.   

Vivekananda Vedanta Centre, Limerick

Swami Vivekananda Vedanta Centre at Limerick is dedicated to learning, understanding, and practicing Vedanta as taught by Swami Vivekananda, one of the foremost Vedantins of modern times.
